Where's Randy?

I've received several concerned inquiries as to my whereabouts of late, as I haven't been posting. My apologies for not saying anything sooner, but I am certainly alive and well - 1) just taking a breather 2) working on some personal issues 3) and trying to enjoy life a bit...

Only checked email thrice over the last 10 days or so and it felt pretty good...

What many of you may not know is: I'm a "type-A", self-driven individual who often establishes too many "self-imposed" taskers/goals - most of which I accomplish, but sometimes at the detriment of other areas of life. With a full-time job (50+ hrs week), family and a fitness buff to boot, there isn't much time left for much else, yet I still drive myself to answer various email, read about the day's events and try to find interesting things to post about when home - sometimes quite tiresome...

Bottom line: I'm burned out and taking a breather for a bit - hopefully a short-term thing while I establish a new bearing and try to garner a renewed zest for this thing - trust many of you can relate/understand.

Anyway, I really appreciate all the genuine concern for my well being and I hope to be back at this soon...

Best Regards

Randy

Randy:

You have a loyal following, as your insights and thoughts reflect that of a person who is concerned about the world around him. Personally, I appreciated the efforts that you put into your blog and I want to thank you sharing for your thoughts with the wider public.

The author of this blog is also taking time off from her blog journey:

Good for you!! I'm glad to hear that you are doing well. I appreciate what you have written on this blog, and can't thank you enough for opening up my eyes to the reality of our country and economy. I am a true believer that God and family come first, and taking a much needed break is important to keep your family unit strong, and for your own mental sanity. I wish you and yours the best...may God bless you!

Hi Randy, Perhaps you could make a sign up sheet for us readers to help you do daily research. Also tell us how to send it to your site. Maybe we could lighten your load. You would be the final editor. I'm sure there are enough people out here that want to help you with you informativie site. Dee

There are many blogs you could post links to as a way of kicking back from this for as long as you like.

bomlat.blogspot.com gives industrial info about china.

mpettis.com gives a perspective of China's economy from the inside.

just to name two

Randy,

Reenergize the batteries. You deserve it. You've been a modern Paul Revere, blogging the warning of danger to come for some time now.

But do come back. You are needed.

God bless you,

Randy,

Checking in from Iraq....I was wondering if you had "tea party"' in Vegas? I have to admit it...you were right..first I could not eat chicken because of your bird-flu, now I can't eat pork because of the Swine Flu....you called it, just wrong animal! Hope you are well and I'll stay in touch....Chris R from Taji.

Enjoy life, Randy. I'm kind of glad that my blog is not followed because then the people would demand more updates.
