Weekend Funnies, 1 Aug 2010

I've been quite busy and didn't have the time to post up funnies last weekend, so expect to sift through a few more than usual this week. I'm certain you'll enjoy doing so however, and you'll probably chuckle while shaking your head in disgust - as these cartoons accurately reflect the complete insanity of our corrupt political and broken economic situation...

Bottom line: as these toons correctly illustrate - our country has major problems and our future outlook is bleak...

On a personal note: Unfortunately, I feel strongly that our living standards will continue to fall as our elected (and on-the-take) representatives spend us into oblivion with borrowed (and or printed) money while failing to make any decision that (even remotely) can pass a common sense or logic test - WTFO!

I don't care if they have an "R" or a "D" after their name - once elected and caught up in the corrupt Washington circle of slime, it's all about power, influence, prestige and money - logic and or the wants of the electorate make no difference... Yes, there are many tough decisions that need to be made to get our country back on track, but we have no one willing to make them... Be advised though: the required change WILL eventually come, but when it does the people will be desperate, hungry, fed-up and will have nothing to lose - this change will not be pretty for those in power however, as it will come with passion, pitchforks, anger and very, very little sympathy.

Me too! Didn't mean to put any pressure on ya! With everything that's going on, sometimes its good to focus on other things - even work!

Lot's of great comics this week. Obama as the Mad Hatter and lecturing the Vikings - LOL.

Spoke to my 99 year old aunt-in-law on Saturday. She was 18 during the Depression and had a part time job. She remembers how cheap everything was if you had any cash. Time to stuff the mattress!

Totally agree with your opening. In addition, I believe that TPTB slaughtered the 'golden goose' which is Housing intentionally to curb demand for petrol. Have a great week.

Bernanke rendering psychotherapy to Wall Street says it all. Is there anything money can't buy? This will go down in history as the great heist of all time, dwarfing all others, bigger than everything before it combined. So we watch in great wonder--amazing, simply amazing.

Somebody call the cops! Nope you say, the cops are in on it. And now the SEC gets to work in secret, thanks to the 'financial reform bill'. Who owns Congress anyway?

Thanks for the concern everyone, yes working long hours and trying to get back into shape - hitting the gym after hours when I have the time...

Justin - funny thing about the Spy Empire one... This morning I had a few "special IP hits"... several from the USAISC (United States Army Information Systems Command - regular visitors now) and several more from the Department of Homeland Security. These guys even downloaded the Spy cartoon (probably laughing about the truth behind it)... Anyway, thought I'd share this info.

Randy,

Have you read the latest by Stoneleigh over at The Automatic Earth where she takes on John Williams? John Williams and Jim Rickards are talking about a deflationary depression followed by hyperinflation (King World News). Stoneleigh is firmly in the deflation depression camp although she seems to leave the door open for future inflation.

Anyway, it's an interesting debate going on.
