Gerald Celente: "Worst economic collapse ever"

Gerald Celente - one of the world's foremost leaders in trends forecasting interviewed by Marina Portnaya, a Russia Today journalist.

"In 2009 were going to see the worst economic collapse ever, the Greatest Depression", says Gerald Celente. He believes its going to be very violent in the U.S. and our future will include a tax revolt.

Apologies for the mediocre, out-of-sync audio, but overall the message is well worth it!

Caution: don't watch with any sharp instruments in your hand - may want to harm yourself...

Gerald Celente - American Unemployment Rate Really 20% Plus

The "Official" jobless rates in the United States recently rose to 10.2% - the highest levels in 26 years. Gerald Celente confirms in this RT interview what I've been saying for quite some time: True US Unemployment Rate > 20%

(Note: linked article above was written in Aug 09 - when the "official" US jobless rate was 9.4%)

Gerald Celente: Greatest Depression on ABC 6

The Collapse of 2009 - we're going to see:

- Depression level unemployment rates (22-25%)
- Commercial real estate Collapse
- Vacant/Ghost malls and strip malls
- Food Riots
- Civil Unrest
- Significant Rise in Crime
- Banking Holidays
- Total Economic Collapse as Empire America fades fast

It will be worse then the Great Depression for many reasons and will include a Tax Revolt/revolution (by 2012).

The question was then asked: How sure are you that all this will happen?

As sure as our most assured forecast - "ABSOLUTELY" - stated Gerald Celente

Gerald Celente: Revolution next for U.S.

Interesting video where Gerald Celente - the most trusted name in trends - sits down with RT's Anastasia Churkina to talk about what the future holds for America during and after the Great Recession, gives advice to Obama, and forecasts the unexpected.

The talk of economic recovery is just a coverup

"We have people in power that if our forecasts were as wrong as theirs we would have been laughed out of business 30 years ago when we began. Why would people believe Ben Bernanke, why would they believe President Obama, why would they believe Larry summers or Timothy Geithner, when Timothy Geithner back in 2007 - when the markets started to unravel in August, when the credit crisis first hit - said everything was covered, no need to worry, plans were in place, the financial sector was sound, one after another their forecasts have been wrong, and they're wrong about the recovery. There is no recovery, its a coverup and the coverup is cheap money, and a stimulus package, a second one will just be more coverup. They're putting the burden on the taxpayer to cover up what has been done by the financial sector."

Gerald celente: The Greatest Depression Under Way

Gerald Celente
3-3-9

KINGSTON, NY, 2, March 2009 - "The Greatest Depression" that The Trends Research Institute forecast, well before Wall Street or Washington would acknowledge recession, is upon us.

The global financial markets are collapsing.

All the pundit's cautious predictions and business media's hopeful expectations at the New Year for an economic turn around and imminent market bottom were dead wrong. There will be no turn around in the second quarter of 2009 or 2010 or 2011 America and much of the world has entered "The Greatest Depression."

The global financial system, built on endless supplies of cheap money, rampant speculation, fraud, greed, and delusion is terminally ill and will not be coaxed into remission by stimulus packages nor restored to health by government buyouts and bailouts.

Today, the MSCI World Index of stocks in 23 developed nations fell 4.9 percent to 713.75, the lowest closing level since March 2003, and its Emerging Markets Index slid 5 percent. The Dow followed, plunging 300 points, closing below 7,000 for the first time since 1997.

There is no stock market bottom in sight. The only figure that can be forecast with confidence is that the Dow won't reach zero!

As the crisis worsens, governments will take draconian measures to prevent total economic collapse and public panic. We have cautioned the likelihood of such measures before. But the rapidity and severity of the economic unraveling now demands immediate attention.

Expect massive bank failures, runs on banks, and bank holidays. Even if deposits are FDIC insured, quick access to money is by no means assured. At minimum, have reserves on hand for emergencies.

Trendpost: When the ship is sinking there are very few options: Life boats, life rafts, life preservers and for the late to act, possibly a few pieces of floating debris to cling to.

We are trend forecasters, not certified financial advisors legally empowered to provide such advice. Although gold prices declined today some $15 to $925 per ounce, we forecast that gold will be one of the few life saving investments that will continue to increase in value, reaching $2,000 per ounce and beyond.

Celente: Obama wrong then, wrong now

In a speech on the US economy in Ohio, US President Barack Obama said he recognized that the recovery has been painfully slow and he called on congress to act by cutting taxes for businesses and middle-income Americans while raising rates rise for the rich. Obama is insistent on letting the Bush tax cuts expire. Obama also called for the enactment of his six-year infrastructure plan that would cost US taxpayers $50 billion in the first year alone. Is this a proposed second stimulus? Gerald Celente of the Trends Research Institute argues that Obama was wrong on the economy before and is wrong now. He failed, says Celente. Obama got his stimulus; he got healthcare. It's not the Republicans fault. It is Obama's, he got what he wanted and the economy is still in recession, explained Celente. But, "he gives a great campaign speech."

Gerald Celente interviewed by Max Keiser

Celente's candid interview releates back to some of the same issues we heard William Engdahl address earlier in the week; the markets are rigged - financial warfare. However, Celelene takes it a step further and says the people are finally waking up to these issues and are becoming fed up with the group of Harvard / Yale crooks who run the system for their own benefit. This frustration will soon lead to an "off with their heads" mentality directed against this elite body of folks who run the "fixed" game.

Gerald Celente : Financial Armageddon 2.0

$11T of Gvt injection and backstop money has merely delayed the collapse. Capitalism is now dead and has been replaced by Fascism... Many countries will collapse - defaulting on their sovereign debt and the US will be no different. A looming bank holiday, another 9/11 style attack and a global war are all likely in our future.

Currencies are Doomed - Go for the Gold

A United Nations report has slammed the American dollar, deeming it an unreliable reserve currency in need of replacement. The UN recommends using a mixed bag of currencies from developed nations. But Gerald Celente, the director of the Trends Research Institute, believes the proposed system could collapse and all currencies are doomed.

Gerald Celente on RT - More debt, please!

The House voted to increase the US debt limit to $14.3 trillion.

My thoughts to ponder:

This massive US debt load (discussed above), the incessant global papering over of toxic assets, the multitude of looming sovereign nation defaults and flashing CODE RED SIGNALS on a variety of markets worldwide suggests that nothing has been fixed and the wheels are ready to drop off this out of control global economy ... It's quite possible the "mega crash" may now be imminent - and the fact global economic leaders shrouded themselves in a secret Australian meeting this weekend (below) may indicate that they are now preparing to execute plan "b" - the central bank of the new world order... may want to strap on your seatbelts folks!!

Secret summit of top bankers

THE world's top central bankers began arriving in Australia yesterday as renewed fears about the strength of the global economic recovery gripped world share markets.

Representatives from 24 central banks and monetary authorities including the US Federal Reserve and European Central Bank landed in Sydney to meet tomorrow at a secret location, the Herald Sun reports.

Organised by the Bank for International Settlements last year, the two-day talks are shrouded in secrecy with high-level security believed to have been invoked by law enforcement agencies.

Speculation that the chairman of the US Federal Reserve, Dr Ben Bernanke, would make an appearance could not be confirmed last night.

The event will be dominated by Asian delegations and is expected to include governors of the Peoples Bank of China, the Bank of Japan and the Reserve Bank of India.

The arrival of the high-powered gathering coincided with a fresh meltdown on world sharemarkets, sparked by renewed concerns about global growth and sovereign debt.

Fears countries including Greece, Portugal, Spain and Dubai could default on debt repayments combined with disappointing US jobs data to spook investors.

Australia's ASX 200 slumped 2.4 per cent, to a its lowest close since November 5, echoing a sharp fall on Wall Street.

Asian share markets were also pummelled, with Japan's Nikkei 225 down almost 3 per cent and Hong Kong's Hang Seng slumping 3.3 per cent.

The damage was also being felt by European markets last night with London's FTSE 100 down sagging 1 per cent in early trade.

Sovereign debt fears rippled through to the Australian dollar which was hammered to a four-month low of US86.43 and was trading at US86.77 cents last night.

"This does feel like '08 and '07 all over again whereby we had these sort of little fires pop up and they are supposedly contained but in reality they are not quite contained,'' said H3 Global Advisors chief executive Andrew Kaleel.

"Dubai should have been an isolated incident and now we are seeing issues with Greece, Portugal and Spain.''

It wasn't all bad news with the RBA yesterday upping its Australian growth forecasts and flagging more interest rate rises this year.

The central bank estimates the economy grew 2 per cent in 2009, and will expand by 3.25 per cent in 2010, and by 3.5 per cent in 2011.

The outlook for global growth is likely to be a key theme of the high level central bank talks.

The gathering also comes at an important time for the BIS as it initiates an overhaul of the global banking system which will include new capital rules applying to banks and more stringent standards regulating executive pay.

A key part of the two-day talkfest will be a special meeting of Asian central bankers chaired by the governor of the Central Bank of Malaysia, Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz.

Influential BIS general manager Jaime Caruana is also expected to take a prominent role in the talks.

Federal Treasurer Wayne Swan will address the central bank officials at a dinner on Monday night.
